Celtic vs Hibernian Match Preview

Week 11 features a match on Saturday Oct 15th, where Celtic plays host to Hibernian in a meeting of these two evenly matched Premiership teams. Weather on match day is looking like a cloudy and cool day, with daytime temperatures of only 6 degrees, making for an unpleasant day. 1st placed Celtic is fresh off their 0-2 loss against RB Leipzig. Timo Werner scored the first goal for RB Leipzig in the 75th minute, then Emil Forsberg added another in the 84th minute on a feed from Timo Werner In the end, Celtic couldn’t muster any offence and RB Leipzig ran away with the shutout win. Celtic looks to continue their winning ways, having won 8 of their last 10, while hibernian sits at 3rd place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 0-1 loss against Dundee United. Aziz Behich struck first for Dundee United in the 11th minute, and with that single goal the scoring was complete. Neither team could manage anything else At the end of 90 a dissapointed Hibernian couldn’t manage to score, and Dundee United took the shutout win. With 18 points in their last 10 matches Hibernian should be reasonably happy with their performance.

This match will be the first time these two teams face eachother this season. Last season Celtic won the head to head battle with 2 wins.

Both Josh Campbell and Martin Boyle have been the hottest scorers for Hibernian in the last five each having scored 2 goals. Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi are the top scorers for Celtic in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
