Start vs Brann Match Preview


On the 9th of December, Start and Brann will play a match in Kristiansand in a clash of the Eliteserien. In their last match, Start recorded a 0-1 loss against Mjøndalen. Shuaibu Lalle Ibrahim struck first for Mjøndalen in the 48th minute, and that single goal was all that was necessary as neither team could manage any more scoring In the end, Start was frustrated by Mjøndalen’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Mjøndalen ended the match with the shutout victory. Start is looking for direction having earned 11 points in their last 10 matches, while brann sits at 10th place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 1-1 draw against Sarpsborg 08. Vetti struck first for Sarpsborg 08 in the 52nd minute, then Kristoffer Barmen tied it up for Brann in the 75th minute on a feed from Daouda Karamoko Bamba earning Brann a comeback draw. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having earned only 9 points in their last 10 matches.

Brann and Start last played eachother at the Brann Stadion on the 19th of July. Brann and Start battled to a 1-1 draw. Adnan Hadzic scored the first goal for Start on an own goal in the 28th minute, then Gilbert Koomson tied it up for Brann in the 41st minute on a feed from Petter Strand earning them at least the one point.

Brann is fortunate enough to have Daouda Karamoko Bamba in top form. In the last five matches the attacker has scored four goals. Kevin Kabran has been the most prolific scorer on Start in the last five matches with three goals.
