Vejle vs AGF Match Preview

Week 19 brings us a match on Feb 25th where Vejle plays host to AGF in a meeting of these two Superliga teams. The game day is forecasted to be a windy and cold day, and temperatures reaching a maximum of only 2 degrees, so hopefuly the match makes up for the weather. Vejle sits at 12th place in the tables. In their last match they recorded a 0-3 loss against Silkeborg. Nicklas Helenius struck first for Silkeborg in the 45th minute, then Sebastian Jorgensen added another in the 74th minute In the end, Vejle was frustrated by Silkeborg’s defence and couldn’t put any tallies on the board. Silkeborg ended the match with the shutout victory. They’re hoping to improve on their recent performance, having lost 6 of their last 10, while in their last match, 7th placed AGF, recorded a 3-2 win against SønderjyskE. Peter Buch Christiansen struck first for SønderjyskE in the 2nd minute, then Stefan Gartenmann added another in the 14th minute on a feed from Nicolaj Thomsen Finally they completed the comback victory in the 93rd minute on a goal by Patrick Mortensen to cap off a wild match. AGF should be reasonably happy with their recent performance, earning 18 points in their last 10 matches.

Vejle and AGF last played eachother at the Ceres Park on Sep 12th. AGF was victorious by a score of 1 to 0. Mikael Anderson struck first for AGF in the 60th minute, and that single goal was all that was necessary as neither team could manage any more scoring In the end, Vejle couldn’t muster any offence and AGF ran away with the shutout win.

Patrick Mortensen has been on a hot streak lately. In the last 5 games, the attacker has scored 4 goals for AGF. Duplexe Tchamba and Saeid Ezatolahi are the top scorers for Vejle in the last 5 matches, but unfortunately they only have one goal. It’s hard to imagine having success with those stats.
