Catalans v Leeds

this should be a great game with plenty of scores at both ends.
catalans have made an awful start to the new season with 2 defeats on the road at cas and hull. once again we seen some wonderful rugby from the french side in the first match but as so often happens they were simply let down by poor discipline and ofcourse some dreadful defending out wide. if the dragons miss as many tackles and drop off leeds tonight the way they did at hull then it will be a hammering. still it is the first home game and a chance to get the season going im sure the french side will be fired right up and ofcourse backed by a noisey home support.
leeds were class against Hkr and while the Warrington game was much closer that was always going to be just about getting over the line and claiming 2 vital points. Briscoe has settled in well- as you would expect being a world class winger- and their backline is looking as fit an hungry as ever. When Leeds fancy it this side can be terrific to watch, the soft hands and movement is wonderful, its a bit early yet i suppose but at the moment id say this is the team to beat. Having not won anything last year Leeds are really motivated to get back to picking up the prizes.
for all their problems, and theres plenty of them, catalans are a terrific attacking side so i expect them to give Leeds some difficult moments in this game and post a nice total. But they wont be able to stop Leeds for putting a good score on the board their defending isnt anywhere near good enough at the moment to stop Leeds little guys. Thats why i dont just go for over i take the alternate total points with nicer odds. It should be a great game.
