Hibs v Stranraer

Most will expect Hibs to cruise through this tie as Fenlons side has found its form in the last few weeks. But i have to say im not convinced at all by them i think some poor performances by the opposition and one or two bits of luck have helped. He is very lucky to still be in that job as Hibs have been poor for a long while now. Losing Griffiths last season was massive- he carried the team almost every week.
Stranraer are struggling a little at the bottom of scottish league 1 but that was a huge win at the weekend over big spending east fife. The manager has said the confidence is really building now having also beaten top level Ross Co in the previous round of this tourney. They do enjoy a cup tie and have a pretty decent record in recent seasons of pulling off one or two surprise results.
I dont expect an away win here but i have a feeling this is going to be a close game and that there is a chance of a shock. You get so many shocks in the league cup in scotland because its early in the season and ofcourse the smaller clubs are fired up and give everything. I know Hibs are on better form now but this is still a very average team with a manager i dont really rate(lost 7-0 against Malmo in europe) so im going for a surprise and taking Stranraer on the dnb market.
