Melbourne Storm v Gold Coast

melbourne-10.5
storm aint quite been at their best in the opening few weeks but with the squad almost at full strength this looks the type of game where we should see them back to their very best.
last weeks 2nd half was quite poor against bulldogs, although dogs were excellent up front and handled the difficult conditions so much better. storm have beaten manly on their own park though, having been a few scores down too, so that shows the kind of quality they have and how good the team spirit is at the moment. theres no doubt melbourne with slater on top form will be one of the teams to beat this year.
titans grabbed the derby win over the cowboys in what was a pretty poor game of rugby with both attacks struggling to even hold onto the ball. its certainly not been a bad start for the titans at all having also won in canberra but if im being honest that was another very average game. theres no doubt this side make it difficult for the opposition and their forwards can be very underrated. but ive not seen enough from the titans so far to suggest they can make the 8 or do much this season. kelly is on good form but hes often on his own.
you just get the feeling its time for everything to click into place and that trio of slater, cronk and smith, to really find their form and give the kind of performance that makes other sides take notice. this is a fixture they have a really good record in so i expect the home side to control this one and win by more than a few scores.
