South Sydney v Bulldogs

souths to win.
its not been an easy month or so for mcguires side but they did grab a vital win in the rain at penrith, thanks to some wonderful goal line defence and an absolutely super attitude. it was a vital result having lost 3 times recently to manly, canberra and west tigers. their forwards were back to the best form but will have to step it up again today as bulldogs are one of the most powerful packs in the NRL.
dogs sneaked a late win in nz probably had more to do with the warriors being carless in defence and not being able to hold a league, even so its never easy to win there and after a tricky start to the season haslers boys are starting to motor. they are so strong and powerful right up the middle with forwards that not only carry the ball well but can offload or make that perfect pass to create space. we will see them in the 8 at the end of the season no doubt about that but id be surprised if the side has the quality to take on the top sides although its early days.
its going to be rough and powerful in the middle and maybe even a bit nasty. 2 strong sets of forwards that wont be holding back i think a low scoring game is almost sure to be the outcome. but id say souths can win it as their defence is slightly better and the manager will be desperate to build on last weeks win in penrith.
