this looks a physical cup tie with a busy night for the referee.
rangers have finally sorted it out and the team is playing some nice football and crushing lower league opposition. with 10 out of 10 a perfect record and plenty of goals scored the title will be theirs, but ally mccoist will be looking to add this cup(the challenge cup for lower league opposition) and do well in the scottish cup. with the money he has spent it really is time rangers were doing a bit more than beating part time teams.
stenny are going ok this season but were absolutely hammered at ibrox 8-0. it is one of the most one sided games ive seen for a long time, rangers played very well but the away side were hopeless gifting plenty of chances. it may have been more than 8 if it wasnt for some poor finishing rangers would have scored 12 or 13. but that games gone and this is a cup tie at home, its fair to say rangers get much tougher games on tight parks in front of a noisey if small local support than they do at ibrox in front of 50,000 on a perfect pitch.
if stenny are too have any chance they have to get in about rangers and not hold back. picking up bookings is a cert because rangers have more quality and far better technical players. i expect the biggest club in the country to get through this tie but i dont see an easy win i think it might just be by 1 goal in a game thats full of bookings and some dangerous play. i have to say some of the tackling on their players at this level has been quite poor and its surprise mccoist has not spoken about it.
