West Ham v Arsenal

West Ham to win. I like these odds on the Hammers. 6 wins and a draw from their last 7 home fixtures its going pretty well for big Sam just 1 point away from the CL places now. Hes got his side playing some very nice football too and like all EPL managers hes making sure he gets as much credit for that as possible. I think a place in the top 4 is too much of an ask but it would be nice to see them back in europe. I like the fact they can play 2 styles. If the opposition are not the strongest in the air then we will see them getting balls into the box and putting them under pressure. But this is a good passing side too they have some nice footballers in the midfield- i really like Downing hes on great form at the moment. The Hammers have beaten some decent sides at home this season, Liverpool, City, Newcastle and Swansea. I loved the way they really punished the Welsh club a few backs for their weakness in the air. The opposition simply couldnt handle Carroll. No chance of Arsenal winning the title but Wenger will do what hes good at and make sure of a top 4 finish. That CL cash is vital and thats the reason he keeps the job when so many of the fans are suggesting its time to try something different. The guy has been a brilliant manager though and entertained us all with his very open an attacking style. This season has been no different Arsenal have been good to watch but you always get the feeling the side is going to lose goals. There is a lack of protection in front of the back 4 and the Gunners, like Swansea, are not the bravest in the air. I also think the young right back is having a very tough season and maybe the manager should have taken him out of it as every side seems to target Arsenal down that side of the pitch. 4 wins in 6 takes Arsenal into the top 6 but we did see a very worrying performance a few weeks back at Stoke. I have to say Mertesacker is not a defender i trust and i find it a bit odd watching someone his height thats scared of a physical battle with centre forwards and cant header a ball. West Ham got 36 crosses into the box against Swansea If they can get the ball in the right areas and get anything like that amount of crosses into the box i think they can win this match as Carroll will bully the Gunners centre backs.
west ham or the draw at 1.77
