utd and van gaal will be more than happy if they can just grab one of the CL places this season, i think that was the main aim after such a difficult time when moyes really struggled and sir alex retired and the side is well on course despite a couple of slumps recently. theres no doubt utd have wonderful attacking options but the defence continues to cause problems, its odd so little cash has been spent of centre backs when you look at the money they have been throwing around, im sure it will be over the summer it has to be to challenge chelsea or city again.
sunderland have a terrible record in terms of wins, just 4 for the season very much in the scrap at the bottom, strange part is they have only lost one more game than southampton, just 9. its just so many draws which leave the black cats in 16th position and feeling nervous about the run in. theres only the 1 win between sunderland and burnley/villa so its fair to say the manager needs to pick up points fast because getting result and performances is so much more difficult when your in that bottom 3. players, managers, directors and fans all start to panic.
i think we get a good game here, sunderland can give utd some problems from set plays as they have great delivery and can attack the ball in the air but utd attack should make sure the points stay at old trafford, maybe 3-1.
